I'm sharing a new series of patient case videos to highlight the variety of shoulder conditions I treat and the surgical approaches I use.
In this video, I discuss a rare case of posterior shoulder instability and a posterior labral tear. While most shoulder instability occurs at the front of the joint, this case is an example of the less common posterior instability and the unique considerations it brings.
The MRI scan clearly shows a tear in the posterior labrum, where the shoulder had dislocated backwards. In this case, a posterior bone block procedure was needed to restore stability and prevent future dislocations.
This series is designed to educate and support both patients and clinicians by providing real examples of the conditions we manage every day.
